Dibella Raises Jaka Out

• Level 35: 150,000-300,000, 40,000 ante

Faraz Jaka raised to 725,000 from the small blind with {8-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and John Dibella defended his big blind with {10-Clubs}{8-Hearts}.

The flop came down {10-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and Jaka fired 850,000. Dibella popped it to 2,200,000, getting Jaka to give it up.

Julius Takes a Line

• Level 35: 150,000-300,000, 40,000 ante

Kyle Julius raised to 600,000 to open the action from the small blind, and Faraz Jaka defended his big to see a flop. He was working with {K-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds}, but it would be Julius' {A-Clubs} {9-Hearts} that smashed the flop.

It came {A-Hearts} {5-Hearts} {7-Hearts}, and Julius gave up the lead with a sneaky check. Jaka took his cue to bet 675,000, and Julius naturally called to see the turn. It was the {6-Diamonds}, and now Jaka checked it back with the {Q-Diamonds} rivering. Julius bet 1.02 million, and Jaka quickly laid it down.

Julius has just inched back in the chip lead once again.

One For Julius

• Level 35: 150,000-300,000, 40,000 ante

Kyle Julius raised to 600,000 on the button with {A-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and John Dibella called from the big blind with {K-Spades}{10-Spades}.

Both checked the {J-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop and when the {8-Hearts} hit the turn, Dibella check-folded to Julius' bet.

Jaka Wins a Family Pot to Grab the Chip Lead

• Level 35: 150,000-300,000, 40,000 ante

Kyle Julius opened to 625,000 on the button with {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} and Faraz Jaka called from the small blind with {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}. John Dibella called from the big blind with {J-Spades}{7-Diamonds} and the flop came down {A-Spades}{9-Spades}{5-Clubs}.

All three checked, landing the {6-Spades} on the turn. It went check-check to Julius who bet 700,000. Jaka called, but Dibella folded, leading to the {5-Spades} river. Both checked and Jaka took it down with his pair of aces.

Xuan Liu Eliminated in 4th Place ($600,000)

Xuan Liu - 4th place
Xuan Liu - 4th place

Well, this final table has just gotten a whole lot less attractive — no offense to the three players left.

On the very first hand back from the break, fireworks erupted before the flop. John Dibella folded first to go, and Xuan Liu open-shoved {A-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} from the button. That folded Kyle Julius, but Faraz Jaka found an ace of his own in the big blind. It was {A-Hearts} {6-Diamonds}, and Jaka made the quick call to put Liu's tournament life in jeopardy.

Things did not go well at all for Liu as the flop came rolling out {3-Hearts} {A-Clubs} {6-Hearts} with that pesky six sitting right in the window. Liu could only stare down longingly at that disaster of a flop, and she was suddenly two cards from a fourth-place exit.

The {5-Diamonds} turn was a decent miss for the lady as she added another four outs to fill in the gutshot straight draw. With one card to come, she needed one of seven outs to double back into the game. But it was not meant to be.

The river {2-Diamonds} was a blank, and that's the end of the road for Liu, eliminated three spots shy of her goal. It's hard to say enough about her performance here this week, becoming the first lady ever to make the final table of the PCA Main Event. She'll have to settle for a $600,000 consolation prize this time around, her largest career cash.

There's no doubt that Liu is quickly becoming one of the most respected female tournament players in the world, and this paycheck moves her up over the $1 million mark in career winnings.
