In preflop action, Maximilian Senft raised from middle position, Bruno Politano called from the cutoff seat, and Jason Leifer called from the small blind to bring about the flop. Leifer checked, Senft bet 135,000, and Politano called. Leifer then check-raised to 310,000, and that knocked Senft out of the way. Politano made the call, though.
On fourth street, the was added to the board, and Leifer checked. Politano bet 355,000, and Leifer went into the tank for about three minutes. Eventually, Dan Smith called the clock, to which Leifer responded by quickly shoving for about 1.22 million.
Politano called with for a set of eights, and Leifer saw the bad news with his for a lower set. The river was no help to Leifer, ending his Main Event.
Politano won the pot to move to 7.38 million in chips, and Leifer was eliminated in 79th place.
